The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a high resolution, high count rate, neutron position-sensitive proportional counter (PSPC), with a data acquisition system, (ORDELLA Model 1128N or equal) for use on an NG7 reflectormeter instrument. The unit shall contain high resolution of 1mm spatial resolution, and a high count rate of 105 neutrons per second. The Data Acquisition system shall be able to provide programmed control of all essential PSPC operations such as acquire, stop clear, time slicing, data storage and display. Complete specifications shall be provided in the solicitation package. Delivery is desired within 9 months, and required within 12 months after issuance of purchase order. The FOB point shall be destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall be used in awarding this purchase order. The anticipated award date is August 17, 1998.
