Under authority granted in FAR 6.302-1, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to seek a quotation on a sole source basis from Dr. Mark Farfel to perform House Dust Mat Sampling Project. In support of EPA's risk assessment efforts at National Center for Environmental Assessment -- Research Triangle Park, NC, this project seeks to examine the potential effectiveness of an alternative method for collecting and evaluating house dust data in establishing a relationship between environmental lead exposure and apparent health effects. The project will be performed in selected inner city neighborhoods located in Baltimore, MD where house dust samples will be collected. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.
