9TH ANNUAL OAK RIDGE REGIONAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE The Ninth Annual Oak Ridge Regional Business Opportunities Conference, which focuses on new contracting opportunities in the East Tennessee Technology Corridor, will be held Thursday, August 13, at Oak Ridge High School, 127 Providence Road, Oak Ridge. Conference registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7 a.m. followed by presentations by various contractors throughout the corridor. An exhibit session and training seminars will be held after a networking lunch. A reception sponsored by Bechtel Jacobs Company LLC will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, at the Garden Plaza Ballroom in Oak Ridge. Individuals unable to attend the conference are invited to attend lunch with special guest speaker James M. Phillips, CEO of IPIX. The cost of lunch is $10 per person. This year's theme is "Forging Business Alliances." Attendees can explore specific opportunities on a one-on-one basis with technical and purchasing representatives. Concurrent training seminars will focus on issues relevant to small and small disadvantaged businesses. Information will be provided to attendees on pursuing contracting opportunities for 1999 and beyond.
