Project consists of constructing two low water crossings on the Palomar and Descanso Ranger Districts on the Cleveland National Forest, San Diego, California. The Orosco Crossing is located on the Palomar Ranger District, near Ramona, California. Morena Crossing is located on the Descanso Ranger District, near Corral Canyon Road, California. One crossing is vented and the crossing is not vented (includes the placement of permanent barricades along a stretch of the approach. Both crossings will have paved approaches. The items of work include but are not limited to; construction, surveying, quality control, structural excavation, structural concrete and rebar, rip rap placement, barrier placement, paving, and signing. To respond to this notice, send a $25 check or money order made payable to USDA -- Forest Service for each solicitation package along with your name, address, telephone number, fax number, and the solicitation number to the attention of Jennie Camacho. A package will not be sent until acheck or money order is received. Do not send cash. Scheduled issue date for this solicitation is August 10, 1998. See numbered note #1.
