Dam approximately 4 miles northwest of Redding in Shasta County,
California. The principal components of the work to be performed
include: a. Installing steel frame for the fish trap entrance bulkhead
tanks; b. installing the fish trap entrance bulkhead tanks, piping and
mechanical system for operating the fish trap entrance bulkhead tanks;
c. removing fish trap sweep and grating in the holding pool and the
catwalk and ladder in the brail pool; d. installing new fiberglass
floor grating in the holding pool; e. modification to brail entrance;
f. modification to brail; and g. modification to the entrance of the
fish elevating hopper. The price range of the work is between $250,000
and $500,000. Award will be made pursuant to the "Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program." Contractors do not have to be
a small business to submit an offer under this program. To request a
copy of the solicitation, send a check or money order in the amount of
$20, payable to the US Bureau of Relcamation, to the above address,
and reference the above solicitation number. Charge includes

estimated the solicitation will be issued August 10, 1998 and bids
