The Navy requires manufacture of 10 each Battery Case Covers in accordance with a Navy Statement of Work (SOW). This SOW establishes the requirements to be followed in developing a new lightweight aircraft storage battery cover. The cover shall meet and/or exceed the requirements of MIL-B-81757C and MIL-B-81757/8D and is a type BB434/A cover weighing 1 pound maximum. First Article testing quantity is 2 each with production quantity of 8 each. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and this procurement is reserved exclusively for Small Business concerns. The applicable SIC code is 3089 and the size standard is 500 employees. First Article testing quantity is required F.O.B. Crane within 180 days after effective date of award with production quantity required F.O.B. Crane within 365 days after award. It is anticipated that a formal RFQ will be issued to satisfy this requirement. FAR Part 12 procedures will not apply.
