99 -- SECURITY DOORS AND WINDOWS SOL OIG-SEC-98-018 DUE 082098 POC Contact Point: Contracting Specialist, Earl Ellington, 202-712-5088, Fax: 202-216-3599 The Agency for International Development/Office of Inspector General intends to purchase 12 approved forced entry security doors with hardware and 4 approved forced entry transaction windows. This equipment (doors, windows, and hardware) must be stored in a facility leased by the manufacturer in order to respond to emergency security requirements and just-in-time shipping. The equipment will be shipped overseas and frequently to remote (high risk) locations. A separate purchase order will be issued for delivery as required. Delivery will be required (Inside Delivery) within 90 days after receipt of order. All doors, windows and hardware must meet the Department of State certification standard for forced entry and ballistic resistance of structural system SD-STD-01.01 Revision G, dated April 30, 1993. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued no less than 15 days after publication of this notice in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) and will close approcimately August 24, 1998. Those interested in receiving a Request for Quotation package should send a written request. No telephone requests for quotation package will be accepted. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format).
