The work includes the complete demolition and renovation of the basement floor locker rooms. The renovation includes a revised floor plan, new walls, finishes fixtures, lighting and HVAC system. The first floor areas, with the exception of the gymnasium area, are to be renovated with new lighting, ceilings, flooring finishes and HVAC system. The office area entrance is to be revised to include a check-out counter and towel storage area. The gym toilet room is to be renovated to comply with ADA requirements. A new accessible exterior entrance with a ramp is added. The exterior sheathing at the gym and first floor exercise area is to be removed and replaced with an exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) sheathing. The existing sheathing to be removed contains asbestos. The existing gym windows, the office area windows, and specified windows in the exercise area are to be removed and replaced with an aluminum window system with glazing. Gutters and downspouts are to be replaced A fire alarm system is to be added to the complete facility. Lighting in the pool area is to be upgraded with the inclusion of additional fixtures. The work includes selective interior painting, interior masonry work, interior tile work, selective exterior painting and concrete repairs, flashing and sheet metal work. Hazardous material abatement and control for asbestos and lead-containing materials is part of this work. Hazardous material investigation reports are included with the specification. This solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. The SIC for this procurement is 1542 and the size standard is $17.0 M. The FSC is Z149. Estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. An evaluation preference will be given in accordance with DFARs 252.219-7008 "NOTICE OF EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS-TEST PROGRAM (APR 1996).
