Contracting Officer, (404) 842-6715 The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health
Promotion, is conducting market research to determine potential
qualified sources for completing data analysis relating urban form
environmental attributes and physical activity using existing data sets
to conduct analysis of the relationship between physical activity and
variables such as, but not limited to exiting travel/transportation
behavior. Data collection and other activities relative to this study
have previously been performed by Georgia Institute of Technology,
Atlanta, Georgia. Qualifications and experience necessary to
successfully perform the requirements include: (1) documented
understanding of existing travel and land use in urban cities; (2)
experience in deriving household level emissions; (3) demonstrated and
documented expertise in urban design issues is essential; (4)
demonstrated experience in research of environmental types of factors
(i.e., travel methods, community design,labor saving devices); (5)
Advanced skills in data analysis methods and research capabilities in
order for the analysis to be accurate, effective information to utilize
in determining and disseminating information to partners of the
government and the public for implementation and use to promote
physical activity as it relates to transportation and urban
