Schick, Contracting Officer, SMDC-CM-CT, (256) 955-1187 The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) has awarded/issued COLSA Corporation a letter contract modification to contract DASG60-94-C-0029 to continue Command Information Management Systems (CIMS) support for an additional ten (10) week period. The CIMS is composed of an integrated system of computers, local/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), servers, central computers and associated hardware, which can process and transfer data among USASMDC users and outside activities. During this extension of the contract's period of performance, the contractor shall be required to provide computer engineering computer operations and hardware and software maintenance support throughout the command. An additional option to continue this support will be included and will be available. This overall requirement should extend the contract's period of performance through approximately 30 Sep 98. This is not an RFP. This is an interim measure to continue the CIMS support until the follow-on contract can be awarded. This acquisition is not open to allied participation. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which this command has solicited and will negotiate with the designated firm pursuant to the authority of FAR 6.302-2.
