INTENDED THAT THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE AS A COMMERCIAL ITEM ACQUISITION
AND WILL BE ISSUED ON A STANDARD FORM 1449 WITH ADDENDA. The
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center anticipates a
competitive acquisition (full and open competition) for complete
maintenance services of Gamma Camera equipment. The anticipated period
of performance is 1 Oct 98 -- 30 Sep 99. Four one-year options will be
included in the solicitation. The Government will evaluate offers for
award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total
price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not
obligate the Government to exercise the options. SIC Code 7699, Size
Standard $5M. The intent of this announcement is to inform all
interested sources that a Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be
released electronically on or about 10 AUG 98. The IFB and any
additional documents necessary for this acquisition will be posted at

Requirement Description: The contractor shall provide complete
maintenance services, Preventive & Remedial Maintenance, for GAMMA
CAMERA EQUIPMENT located at the 74th Medical Group, Wright-Patterson
AFB, OH. EQUIPMENT NAME/MODEL# SERIAL # Siemens Gamma Camera/Orbiter
97304 Siemens Gamma Camera/Lem+ 660700459 The contractor shall provide
the required support to ensure the operational integrity of the
equipment. The services shall include all labor, parts, travel,
transportation, data, documents, (including manufacture recommended
software and hardware updates and freight charges) and other services
as necessary to maintain the equipment in acceptable operating
condition in accordance with OEM specifications. The Contractor shall
not be liable for repairs necessitated by: catastrophe; accident;
neglect; misuse; failure of electrical power, air-conditioning, or
humidity control or fault of, negligence of, or movement by the
Government, unless caused by the Contractor. Users may contact the PIXS
