The contractor shall fabricate a new target consisting of a hollow copper cylinder 13.5" diameter x 6.63" high. Platinum at 99.99% purity, .025% thick to be applied to the copper substrate, covering the entire i.d. area. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The anticipated release date of RFQ 663-80085-0000-998 is on or about 08/14/98 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 08/24/98. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
