for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Simplified acquisition procedures shall be utilized. This
solicitation and incorporated provisions are those in effect through
FAC 97-05 and DAC 91-13. This solicitation is used as a request for
quotation (RFQ). Reference solicitation number: F01600-98-Q1494. This
acquisition is to furnish and install approximately 213 Linear Feet
(LF) of temporary/movable (floor-to-ceiling) walls, five single doors
and one double door. The requested walls are "Series 225," manufactured
by Wall Innovators, Inc.; 5415 West Crenshaw; P.O. Box 261089; Tampa,
FL 33685-1089. The walls will be located in three areas within the Air
Force Wargaming Institute, Building 1406A, at Maxwell AFB, AL. The
following designcriteria is required: install approximately 213 LF of
8'-7" semi-permanent flat walls in three locations of various lengths;
install approximately two 20 LF sections of 8'-7" movable flat walls
in two locations; wall panel sections will be at least 36"- 48" wide
and 5/8" gypsum construction; wall covering should be at least 12 oz
fabric backed vinyl (color chart shall be furnished with offer); doors
5 single and 1 double door, 3' x 7' solid core plain sliced red oak
with clear finish, with appropriate latch and hinge hardware; moveable
walls sections (2 x 20 LF) have vinyl wall covering, with 4' x 4' dry
marker boards integrated into the wall unit; movable wall sections
must be mounted/hung on a track-like suspension system that will
facilitate easy reconfiguration (opening the walls) to make a larger
room out of smaller rooms; movable wall suspension should reconfigure
easy enough to only require two individuals to collapse or expand the
wall; construction of the walls must provide adequate sound suppression
to allow independent operations to occur in adjacent rooms without
disrupting each other; coloring of trim and baseboards shall be
selected by the Government representative to complement installed
walls. A one-time site survey of the building may be required.
Inspection and delivery shall be at FOB destination point; (CADRE/WG,
401 Chennault, BLDG 1406A, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112-6428;) Required
Delivery: 75 days after receipt of contract award, this includes
installation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the
solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The
provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items
and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, apply to this
acquisition. The specific evaluation criteria under paragraph (a) of
FAR 52.212-2 are (a) price; (b) proposed delivery/installation
schedule; (c) design to meet the agency's need; (d) warranty; and (e)
past references. All evaluation factors other than price, when
combined, is approximately equal to price. FAR 52.212-3, Offerors
Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Offerors should
include a completed copy with their quotation) and must accompany the
offeror's quote; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial

incorporated by reference: 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor
Registration (CCR) and 252.232-7009, Payment by Electronic Funds
Transfer,. This acquisition is a total small business set aside under
SIC code 2542, with a size standard of 500 employees. CLIN: 0001. A
single award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer
conforms with all requirements of this solicitation. Offerors are
reminded to submit product literature (essential physical
characteristics) of the walls and doors being offered in sufficient
detail to evaluate compliance with this solicitation. Submit
descriptive literature to include color photo of the proposed walls,
wall coverings, and doors. Quotation shall be submitted not later than
