The Office of Special Populations Research, NCI, in conjunction with Howard University Hospital, requires the editing, production, printing and disbursement of 27,600 copies of the MONOGRAPH, "Black Man's Challenge: The Prostate Cancer Dilemma." This monograph will be published in the Journal of The National Medical Association, and it will be published as a supplement to the Journal of the National Medical Association which is published monthly for the National Medical Association by SLACK Incorporated. This project is an integral part of Howard University Hospital's mission to enhance knowledge among primary care physicians of scientific research and state of the art clinical management of Prostate Cancer in African Americans. Since Slack, Inc. holds the rights to the monograph and it is the sole publisher of the Journal of the National Medical Association, Slack, Inc is the only source known to the National Cancer Institute that can meet the above requirements. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation and NCI does not intend to issue a separate solicitation. This solicitation, RFQ-NCI-80175, is not set-aside for small business; however, the Standard Industrial Classification code is 2741. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirements, it may submit an offer. Offers must be submitted on an SF-18 and include appropriate Representations and Certifications. Information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Offers must be received in the contracting office by 3:00 p.m. EST, on August 5, 1998.
