The contractor shall provide integration assistance and support in preparation of the ballistic computer hardware and software prior to the demonstration at APG field support for the training period at APG and field maintenance support during the live fire portion of testing. Period of performance is 15 August 1998 through 31 December 1998. It is the intent of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to Allied Signal, Teterboro, New Jersey pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for engineering and maintenance support for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Quotes may be faxed to (410)278-6522.
