V -- V-PASSENGER BUSES FOR YOUTH SERVICES FORT MEADE, MARYLAND SOL DADW36-98-Q-0215 DUE 082098 POC Purchasing Agent Cheryl Catalano (301) 677-5174 (Site Code DADW36) Provide 4 each 45 passenger buses with drivers for 190 days for the Youth Services located at BLDG 909, Ernie Pyle St and Reece Rd, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. The buses will be used to transport children enrolled in school-age services to and from the following local elementary schools: Pershing Hill (29th Division Rd) school hours are 0815 and 1505, Manor View (Macarthur Rd) school hours are 0815 and 1430, West Meade (Ray Street) school hours are 0900 and 1530, Meade Heights (Reece Rd) school hours are 0800 and 1600. All buses will originate from Youth Services and return to Youth Services at the end of each day. The buses must be available for approximately one hour and a half in the morning and two hours in the afternoon including school pick-up and transporting children to after school activities. Buses will be required for activities off the installation (Fort Meade). It is estimated that between two and three buses per month will be required from the end of August through Mid-June for off post activities. The contract will be for a base year and three one year options. Contractor will be responsible for all required insurance and inspections. All buses furnished shall be of good quality and in safe operating condition, and shall comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and State Safety regulations applicable for buses. All buses shall be equipped with heat and air conditioning. Buses must be cleaned daily. Prior to award the contractor will be required to submit copies of his inspection records and insurance.
