Z -- UPGRADE/RETROFIT UNDERGROUND FUEL OIL STORAGE TANKS SOL IFB 618-145-98 DUE 090298 POC Mavis Nelson 612-725-2189 Provide all labor, equipment and material to upgrade and/or retrofit the existing underground fuel oil and/or underground fuel storage tanks. Work will include demolition and/or selectively cutting of existing bituminous roadway surfaces, concrete roadway surfaces, concrete curbs and sidewalks, modifying, upgrading, and retrofitting of existing fuel delivery system, and repair if required, to the existing storage tank monitor system. New work shall include installation of either a direct fill and/or remote direct fill system, with fill and overspill protection, extension of existing vent lines, installation of a fuel tank system monitoring system, with leak detection, installation of new bituminous or concrete material to patch and repair demolition areas, and all other electrical, mechanical, signal and other miscellaneous appurtenances, as required. Work to be accomplished in accordance with station drawings 1033 (series) and specification BI, 98-11. Work to be accomplished within sixty (60) calendardays from receipt of notice to proceed. Bids will be entertained only from contractors who are certified by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). Bid documents available on or about 7/31/98.
