Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials necessary for the installation of a pool enclosure. The structural fram shall be non corrosive ridgid material (steel, aluminum, ect) with baked on finish. The structure must be able to handle sustained loads of 75 miles per hour and gusts of wind between 100 to 140 miles per hour. This area also receives large amounts of rain, but minimal amounts of snow. The roofing system shall consist of insulated polycarbonate glazing with a motorized opening system. The motorized opening system shall have a positive opening and closing rack and ppinion gear drive and be self lubricating. A manual opening roof system shall also be provided as a back-up system. The structure shall connect to the existing pool bathhouse and be architecturally compatible with other nearby base facilities. The design shall comply with the base color schemes, use simple building shapes with facade proportions that are integrated with adjacent facilities, be constructed of materials that are easy to maintain, use signage that is professional done and standardized by the Portugese sign standards, and paint utilitarian equipment (i.e. transformers,ect) brown or screen the view from the public. The pool enclosure must also provide enough clearance for an existing slide that is almost fifteen feet in height (need an additional four feet above the slide to provide proper access). Handicap accessibility and emergency egresses must abide by all applicable codes. There are several existing conditions that must be demolished, removed and or replaced. conccrete pads around the pool, fencing around the pool location of fence gates, fire hydrants and existing utilities. This prodcurement is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00, and will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. Solicitation is to to be issued O/A 14 Aug 98.
