This amendment is issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only amendment of the above solicitation, bids are being requested, and a written amendment will not be issued. This amendment is issued to revise the requirement for semi-trailers and to furnish questions and answers concerning this synopsis/solicitation. (1) ADD THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS: (19) Length: Length shall be 48' long. (20) Width: Width shall be 102" wide. (21) Overall height shall be standard for these dimensions. (2) QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Question No. 1: What is the length? The length shall be 48' long. Question No. 2: What is the overall height? The overall height shall be standard for the required dimensions. Question No. 3: What isthe overall width? The overall width shall be 102". Question No. 4: Will the government consider new trailers? No. The government may consider new trailers in future requirements. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this amendment before the hour and date specified in the RFQ. Failure of this acknowledgement may result in rejection of your quote. If as a result of this amendment you desire to change a quote already submitted, such a change may be made by a letter. The letter must refer to the RFQ No. EMV-1998-RQ-0057 and this amendment, and received before the opening hour and date specified. The synopsis/solicitation EMV-1998-RQ-0057 is amended as indicated above. As a result of the changes made herein, the hour and date for receipt of quotes is hereby extended from 4:30 p.m., local time, July 27, 1998 to 4:30 p.m., local time August 3, 1998.
