59 -- NEXRAD SPARE PARTS SOL 52WCNW906002 POC Charles Hughes 816-426-7267, ext 229 The U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase the manufacture of the following items: 10 each Metering Interface, p/n 1D21525G02, manufactured by Northrup Gruman (Westinghouse), Cage 97942, NSN: 5998-01-362-0581; 10 each Cap Bank Filters, NSN: 5915-01-421-1818, p/n 3D59371G01, Cage 97942; and 10 each Control Adapters, p/n 706J233G01, NSN: 5998-01-362-0583. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)1). The Government knows of only one qualified source authorized to provide the items referenced. The Government does not have specifications and drawings as the items are proprietary to Northrup Gruman. The spares will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Northrup Gruman, for the items required. Any business source able to provide the identified parts are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after it's publication. Interested parties shall submit in writing, their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding their capability and qualifications to manufacture the items referenced, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for a businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously manufactured such items. The anticipated award date shall be no less then 45 calendar days from the date of this announcement. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3679.
