The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL, will procure Information Technology Operational Services to support the Defense Information Systems Agency, Defense Megacenter (DMC), 450 Duncan Drive, San Antonio, Texas. Contractor provided services may include systems operations, application software maintenance, hardware / software installations other than operation systems and system management. The contract services ordered may include support to the information technology operation in the following areas: operations management, automated production control, courier services, computer operations, help desk support services, tape management -- media library, computer analysis (system software), computer analysis (application), data /telecommunications -- circuit actions, data entry, project management, network management / administration, physical security, disaster recovery support, programming support, computer analysis (silo system software), and facility support. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 7374. The anticipated RFP release date is 10 Aug 98 with proposals expected to be due approximately on 10 Sep 98. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to attend a Site Visit and Pre-Proposal Conference. The site visit will occur on 18 Aug 98 at 2:30 p.m. at the DMC San Antonio, 450 Duncan Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78241. The Pre-Proposal conference will be held on 19 Aug 98 @ 9 a.m. Vendor proposals in response to this RFP must be received in hard copy in accordance with the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. ACTUAL SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ELECTRONICALLY; THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND IN WRITING WITH REFERENCE TO THIS CBD NOTICE. Vendors will be able to download the RFP, amendments, related correspondence, etc. by two methods. Vendors can access the DITCO Home Page, Contracting Opportunities, at http://www.ditco.disa.mil or by dialing into the electronic InformationTechnology Acquisition Bulletin Board System (ITABBS) at telephone number (618) 229-9200. Information will either be in ASCII, Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0, or Excel 5.0 format. RFPs on ITABBS are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. Any FIP vendor can access the ITABBS through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 -- 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
