N59 -- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (1) Solicitation F02601-98-T1098 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) (2) This solicitation incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. (3) This acquisition is set aside 100% for small business. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 4931 ($5M) Electric and other services combined. (4) N/A (5) Install twenty-eight (28) floor jacks, the floor jacks will include the following connections SIPRNET, NIPRNET, phone line and power jacks. Provide four (4) Allied Telesys hubs (P/N AT-3726TR-10) and two (2) Allied Telesys Modules (P/N AT-3701FSC02) for fiber connections to NIPRNET and SIPRNET networks. Provide seperate conduit runs fortwo (2) each data outlets (10/100BaseT/RJ-45), one voice outlet (RJ-1), and one electrical outlet (two (2) outlet jack) routed to surface mount box in access floor. The SIPRNET R-45 jack should be red in color and the NIPRNET RJ-45 jack should be green in color. Route data and phone lines back to communications closet. Electrical service will utilize existing circuits already present under floor. Utilize Category 5 plenum cable and jacks for communications. Mount Allied hubs in communications closet and provide for connectivity to hub from floor jacks. Phone lines will be routed back to communications closet and terminated on punch block. The installation will be completed in accordance with TIA/EIA and DOD installation standards. Testing and documentation will be turned in within five (5) days of installation. Provide copies of final equipment layout and wiring diagram (as built one line diagrams) within five (5) days of installation. (6) Estimated completion date is 4 September 1998.
