Hauger (208) 422-4603 (Site Code DAHA10) The Idaho Army National Guard is soliciting proposals for a requirements contract for catered meals to be awarded on or about 1 Oct 1998. The proposed contract is multi-year (base year plus four option years): estimated meals are 55,000-135,000 per year consisting of breakfast,lunch, and dinner meals; Government provided facility and equipment. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 5812. The related small buissness standard is $5 Million. The contractor would be required to provide, prepare, and serve all food items.In addition, Complete routine sanitation and cleaning requirements (in accordance with TB MED 530) To compensate for food cost and wage increase, an annual adjustment would be applied to submitted base year meal cost for each meal. This adjustment would be based on a published Department of Labor Consumer Price Index (CPI) and employment Cost Index (ECI). Total meal cost would = food cost+labor cost. Annual contract adjustment would be based on submitted costs, i.e. food cost would be adjusted by the CPI and labor cost adjusted by the ECI. Contractor will be required to pay published Department of Labor Wages for the base year and each separate option year. Contractor will be required to prequlalify based on a technical board evaluation. After technical prequalification, evaluation factor will be based on aggregated prices submitted per Section B of solicitation. Evaluation factor will be based on contractors's submitted prices for 1-50 meals. 51-200 meals, and greater than 200 meals per breakfast,lunch, dinner. Contract period is 1 Nov 1998 -- 31 Oct 1999 plus option years.
