V -- HOTEL SPACE AND SERVICES FOR OCC SPECIALTY CONFERENCES SOL CC-98-Q-0037 POC Thora Stanwood, Contract Specialist, 202-874-4716 SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the facilities and services of qualified hotels to provide guest rooms, meeting rooms and related services for six (6) meetings, called the OCC Specialty Conferences. The Meetings will be held in the continental U.S. from the end of February through the end of April, 1999. There will be approximately 450 attendees at each of the five-day meetings. The estimated maximum number of sleeping rooms is 450 for each of five nights. Meeting rooms will be required for the general session, 10 concurrent sessions, 3 offices, 2 Technology Centers, 2 board rooms, 2 receptions, 3 breakfasts, and 2 tentative lunches. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS The hotel must: 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and have a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following quality ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about August 13, 1998. The solicitation document will contain the details of the meetings, the instructions for submitting a proposal, and how the proposals will be evaluated.
