Tullos, Contracting Officer, 228-377-3808 The government intends to issue an extension to existing contract F2260092S0002 to Scheduled Airlines Traffice Office (SATO), 1005 North Glebe Road Arlington VA 22201, to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to perform management and operations of commercial travel offices located at Keesler and Columbus AFBS, MS. The period of performance is from 1 Jul 98 until the services are subsumed into the DoD Wide Commercial Travel Office (CTO) contract scheduled for 1 Apr 99. The DoD Wide contract will be solicited under full and open competition. SATO is the one and only contractor who is in place and ARC-licensed to provide temporary services in a timely fashion without disruption until the requirement is rolled into the DoD wide CTO contract. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the government that is not expeced to be recovered through competition, due to the very short period of performance.
