This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation #F08650-98-T-9536 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thru Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5 and thru Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) of 7359, with a small business size standard of $5M. Contractor shall lease to the Government an insulated bucket truck, 2x4, with a reach of 48 feet. Basic performance period is 1 Oct 98 thru 30 Sep 99. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items is hereby included by reference. The following are addenda to FAR clause 52.212-1; At paragraph (c), Period of Acceptance for Offers, the amount of time an offeror must hold its prices firm is hereby changed. An offeror must hold the prices in its quote firm for 60 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of quotes. Paragraph (e) multiple offers has been determined by the Contracting Officer to be non-acceptable to this solicitation and is hereby removed in its entirety for the purpose of this requirement. FAR provision 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies to this solicitation and the following evaluation criteria (arranged in their relative order of importance) are hereby incorporated: Award will be made to the offeror who submits the lowest price.
