This project consists of the erection of a government furnished 50' x 100' metal building with an 18' eave height and a 4:12 pitched roof at the Mammoth Lakes Ranger Station on an existing concrete slab with anchor bolts. The buildings will be construction in two (2) sections; with the first section being 50' x 41' and the second section being 50' x 59'. The final size will be 50' x 100'. The first 50' x 41' section is the base bid with the second 50' x 59' section being a bid option. The government provided building includes the framing, roofing, siding, bracing, and insulation, personnel doors, windows, light transmitting panels, hardware, fasteners, sealants, and other components for a complete shell. Roll up doors will be provied and installed by others. The contractor shall be responsible for the unloading of the trucks, and providing all necessary lifts, equipment, and labor for erecting the building. The contraction of the first section shall start no later than September 28, 1998 and be completed within 30 days. The second section shall be erected by June 30, 1999 if the bid option is awarded. The site is located in the Mammoth Lakes Ranger Station compound. To read the project site, turn west on State Highway 203 off of US Highway 395. Proceed 2 miles into the town of Mammoth Lakes and turn right on Sawmill Road. Then take the first left into the US Forest Service compound and the building site.
