Hartleben, Contracting Officer, 309-782-7116 The modification of 450 each of the LH and 450 each of the RH Backing Plates (PN 12593022 and 12593026) which are components of the LH and RH Brake Assemblies PN 12593000 and 12593001. This modification involves the enlarging of the center bore of the backing plates to 3.625 inch diameter and the addition of 6 each .409 diameter holes. These newly machined surfaces would then be coated with Gray Sol Film Lube. If the parts are modified without disassembly, all of the component parts must remain free of cutting fluids/coolants/oils. All chips and contaminantes must be removed. Manufacture of 1000 each new parking strut part number 12592981. Replacing the parking strut depicted in drawings 12593000 & 12593001 with the parking strut 12592981. (Both parking struts are dimensionally the same.
