synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and solicitation will
not be issued. The solicitation number is F41614-98-Q0508 and is issued
as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) . Responses/Offers are due by 5:00 PM
CST, 26 Aug 1998. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions
are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-5 and
Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This acquisition is open to large
and small businesses. CLIN 1: Quantity 2, Watkins Johnson Tunable
Demodulator (P/N WJ9497) with Video Reconstructor Module (P/N
9497/VRM), Analog Input Module (P/N 9496/AIM), and IF Reconstructor
Module (9497/IFRM). Unit must accept both analog and digital input from
DC to 30 Megahertz, digitally tunable in 1 hertz increments. Input
Impedance is 50 ohms. Unit must have programmable Intermediate
Frequency bandwidth from 1 Kilohertz to 5 Megahertz in 1-3-5 or 1-2-5
steps. Unit must provide a tunable Intermediate Frequency output
adjustable from 1 Megahertz to 21.4 Megahertz. Unit must provide radio
frequency detected amplitude, frequency, and phase modulation outputs.
Outputs must be leveled by automatic gain control circuitry and
manually adjustable from 0-5 volts. Output impedance of 50 ohms. Unit
must provide independently programmable post-detection filtering at
bandwidths one half the value of the Intermediate Frequency bandwidth
selections. Unit must have built-in-test function capable of detecting
and isolating faults to circuit card level. Item must include two sets
each of user and maintenance manuals. State warranty provisions in
offer. If offering an equal item, submit descriptive literature
detailing electrical characteristics with offer. FOB point is
Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. The government requests delivery 120
