Duplex Strainer: Bechtel National Inc., acting as agent for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program (CSDP), intends to competitively solicit a firm, fixed-price purchase contract for two (2) Duplex Strainers with an option for one (1) additional, subject to economic price adjustment. Delivery for both by March 15, 1999. The Duplex Strainer shall include Hastelloy C baskets with 100 micron retention, removable polypropylene filter bags for chemical agent flow. Flow parameters are approximately as follows: maximum flow 1 gpm; maximum pressure 150 psig; maximum temperature 125 degrees F. This procurement is unrestricted with regard to business size. The Request for Proposal (RFP), which shall be pursuant to Contracting by Negotiation as described in FAR Part 15, will be issued approximately September 10, 1998.
