Gloveboxes: Bechtel National Inc., acting as agent for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Chemical Stockpile Disposal Program (CSDP), intends to competitively solicit a firm, fixed-price purchase contract for six (6) Gloveboxes with an option for three (3) additional, subject to economic price adjustment. Delivery for the six gloveboxes by March 30, 1999. Each glovebox shal include an airlock, two activated carbon air filters, removable back wall, and stand. The overall dimensions of each glovebox shall be 3' Wide x 2' Deep x 2' High. The overall dimensions of each airlock shall be 14" Wide x 12" Deep x 12" High. The gloveboxes shall be constructed from 304 stainless steel. Gloveboxes shall be leak tested and have no leaks exceeding 1 x 10-4 std cc per second. This procurement is unrestricted with regard to business size. The Request for Proposal (RFP), which shall be pursuant to Contracting by Negotiation as described in FAR Part 15, will be issued approximately September 10, 1998. RFP closing will be about 30 days thereafter. Copies of the RFP will be forwarded to all responsible sources upon receipt of a written request.
