DESC: 17 (i) Project consists of, Designing, construct and provide
preventive maintenance of 1 each Compressed Gas Station, (CNG) at
Schriever AFB, formally Falcon AFB, Colorado Springs Colorado.
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment,
transportation, expertise and facilities to design and build station.
FA2550-98-R0012 is the solicitation number, the solicitation is issued
as a request for proposal (RFP). The purpose of this project is to
provide a reliable around-the-clock fueling capability for Schriever
AFB's growing natural gas vehicle fleet. This CNG station shall
incorporate reliable, high performance technology, and aesthetically
pleasing finishes, configuration, and landscaping. Contractor will also
be required to do an extension of Han Road and all utility connections
to include tapping into the natural gas main and electrical and
telephone connections. This CNG station shall be cited adjacent to the
Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) gasoline station, the
contractor shall design-build the CNG station to match the AAFES
gasoline station architecture and landscaping. A concept design of 50%
and 100% will be required with contractor's bid. System that must be
provided must be United States Air Force "Prokee" and credit card
capable. Following government acceptance of the CNG station, the
contractor shall provide maintenance for the CNG station. The
contractor shall be responsible for maintaining all CNG equipment NOT
to include underground piping, the automated point of sale equipment,
and communications equipment. Maintenance shall include but not limited
to transportation, man-hours and material and emergency maintenance
calls within 24 hours of the initial call. This acquisition is
unrestricted. Standard Industrial Code 1799 applies, with a size
standard of $7 million. This acquisition is between $100,00.00 to
$250,000.00. Funds are available for this project. Responsible sources
