USAYPG intends to negotiate a new contract utilizing other than full and open competition with DRS Hadland, Inc., 20480 Pacifica Drive, Suite D, Cupertino, CA 95014. Hadland is the original equipment manufacturer and retains proprietary design data for the required upgrade & repair. The contract will be for upgrading 21 SVR Cameras and 10 BR553 Cameras a total of 31 cameras. These upgrades will consist of the following: 1) Replace CCD camera with 1280 X 1024 pixel 12-bit camera, CCD power supplies/regulators and mounting hardware. 2) Replace multi-component relay optics with fixed focus relay lens and mounting hardware. 3) Install a minimum of 133 MHz Pentium computer board with volatile RAM disk image memory, flash memory, and 16 MB RAM. 4) Graphics card and mounting hardware. 5) Improved cooling fans. 6) Modify camera body to accommodate upgrades. 7) Camera/Computer interface board. 8) Network cards for camera and operator control computer. 9) Camera firmware update. The government anticipates award of a fixed price requirements contract for four years. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. See Note 22.
