Amendment 00001 is issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only amendment of the above referenced combined synopsis/solicitation notice, proposals are being requested, and a written amendment will not be issued. Amendment 00001 is issued to 1) delete instances of cost-reimbursement requirements in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.207; 2) amend the date for any questions regarding the combined synopsis/solicitation from, "July 27, 1998"; to, "August 5, 1998"; and, 3) to provide Attachment 8, List of Interested Offerors. As a result of this amendment, the following pages to the appropriate attachments have also been amended: Attachment No. 2, Part I -- The Schedule, Section B, Supplies or Services and Prices, page 1; and, Attachment No. 3, Part 1, The Schedule, Section C, Performance Work Statement, pages 6, 24 and 25. Changes are indicated by a vertical line in the left and right margin next to the specifically changed information. These pages shall supersede those previously provided in the synopsis/solicitation notice and shall be included in place of the original pages in Volume III, of the offeror's proposal, if applicable. Please note that if your company previously requested a copy of the attachments under the previously published combined synopsis/solicitation, a copy of the changed pages and Attachment 8 addressed by this amendment will be forthcoming to you. The due date for receipt of proposals has not changed. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation are due not later than 3:00 P.M., EST, on Friday, August 21, 1998. Facsimile or electronic copies of proposals will not be accepted. All other terms and conditions shall remain the same.
