Department, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement
Affairs, Office of Policy and Coordination has a requirement for an
individual to provide police advisory services in Washington, DC. The
purpose of this position is to provide advisory services on a
wide-ranging policy and technical law enforcement matters relative to
US contributions and participation in police development programs and
civilian police operations overseas. The contractor will be assigned to
work with 2-3 members of a group addressing civilian police and police
development issues. The contractor's focus will include, but not
restricted to, aspects of coordinating US participation in judicial
sector reform programs, judicial systems development and relationship
to police restructuring and development in Bosnia, Haiti, Croatia, and
other countries as identified. The position is under the supervision
of the Policy and Program Officer responsible for development programs.
The assignment is for one year with the option to extend the terms.
PCSs are treated on par with other USG employees. Minimum
qualifications include: must be USG citizen, eight years experience in
U.S. law enforcement, including patrol and at least one
specialization; or a combination of at least four years police
experience and a graduate degree in criminal justice/public
administration, immediate availability and employment is subject to a
security clearance for the Department of State. A SF-171 is required to
apply. The GS grade equivalent is GS-13/14. This requirement is for
