SOLICITATIONS ISSUED ELECTRONICALLY Beginning on 3 August 1998, the Watervliet Arsenal will begin issuing solicitations electronically. Solicitations will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1 therefore hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: http://www.army-acquisition.net click on "Army Contracting Opportunities" and choose Watervliet Arsenal or use our homepage at http://www.wva.army.mil/PROC.HTM and click on "Business Opportunities" which will give you a hotlink to the Army Acquisition web page. The capability to respond to our solicitations through the web is not yet available. Until this capability is available, you will need to print and complete a copy of the solicitation and fax or mail it in. Caution: Solicitations will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of same.
