Daigle Sealed bids will be accepted from all business concerns for Cumberland Gap National Historical Park Project NPS-CUGA 58(3), in Lee County, Virginia. The project consists of the relocating U.S. Route 58 from the Tennessee-Virginia state line to 1.75 miles east of the state line. The project work includes grading, aggregate base and hot asphalt concrete pavement placement, drainage improvements, slide repair, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway excavation, 310,000 cuyd; Subexcavation, 14,000 cuyd; Granular backfill, 4,600 cuyd; Roadway obliteration, 18,000 sqyd; Aggregate base, Grading C or D, 58,000 ton; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, 31,500 ton.
