The Air Force intends to solicit proposals for a firm-fixed price contract (SUBJECT TO FUNDS AVAILABILITY) to Replace Air Compressor System FAC 6000. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Base bid and three bid additives. Remove four existing air compressors, separators and recievers located in the Service Air Compressor room along with designated associated piping; provide three centrifugal-type air compressors, each rated to deliver 470 SCFM at a discharge pressure of 125 psig; each air compressor shall be provided with a microprocessor controller; remove and reinstall dryers; provide one start-up air dryer system which shall enable start-up of any of the three compressors; provide two air receiver tanks; provide pressure regulating valves; provide electrical changes to support installation of new equipment; provide general construction work for concrete pads and to remove and reinstall the door and a portion of the CMU wall of Room PH1-150 to allow installation of mechanical equipment; Bid Additive 1: Remove four existing air dryers and provide three air dryers each rated for 600 scfm; Additive 2: Provide six pressure transmitters and run control wiring and conduit and program signals into the existing system; Additive 3: Remove two existing compressors in the G-O module and patch the floor. The performance period is 150 calendar days. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1611. Project value is estimated between $250,000 -- $500,000.
