furnish all necessary labor equipment and supervision to perform the
work required by Project No. 583-98-1490, Install Angiography, in
accordance with contract drawings and specifications. Work includes,
but is not limited to, materials abatement, partition framing, doors,
windows, finishes, casework, x-ray protection, imaging equipment,
support systems, mechanical and electrical work. SIC Code 1796 applies.
The cost range is estimated at $400,000 -- $500,000. Completion time is
150 calendar days after Notice to Proceed; 120 calendar days after
commencement of actual work. Liquidated damages apply at $35,000/month.
This solicitation is issued pursuant to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Bid documents will be available
O/A 8/14/98. Pre-bid conference will be 8/28/98. Bid opening date:
9/16/98. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 is required for each bid
package set requested. Only written requests accompanied by a certified
check, money order or cashier's check made payable to VA Medical Center
and listing the solicitation number will be accepted. All requests with
