Santos, Contract Specialist (504) 678-9080 The work includes a new central heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system (excluding boiler) for Building 58 by replacing the existing air-cooled chiller and one air handler with a new 40-ton air cooled chiller, variable air volume air handler, new externally insulated ductwork, new restroom exhaust fans and ductwork, VAV terminal units with hot water coils, hot water piping to the new air handler and VAV terminal units, pertinent electrical work, an extension of the existing Jonhnson Controls, Inc. "Metasys/Facilitator" Building Managment System to provide for direct digital control of HVAC systems function, and incidental related work. The existing chiller, air handler, ductwork, and exhaust fans shall be demolished in accordance with the project Sequence of Construction. Asbestos abatement, provision for working in the presence of lead-based paint, and lead-based paint abatement of ceilings and walls are included. The proposed procurement is being advertised on an UNRESTRICTED basis. The estimated cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. The estimated duration of the contract is 210 calendar days for completion.
