The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Washington has a requirement for an Eaton Leonard Vector 1 Series 4XL Tube Data Measuring System on behalf of the Plant Equipment Support Office. The Tube Data Measuring System interprets data on bent tube shapes from all conventional sources, including XYZ coordinates, prints, master tube shapes and templates. The system consists of a console, with mounted table top, twenty feet long, a microprocessor, keyboard, printer, and a five axis articulating measuring arm. This system shall be delivered to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA within 120 days after contract award. The Navy intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Lynch Machinery Co., Inc. Lynch Machinery Co is the only source that can provide the Eaton Leonard system required for compatibility with the existing bending machines at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The government will consider all responses received within seven days after date of publication of this synopsis.
