Fax at (703) 607-4611 This is an amendment to Commerce Business Daily No. 217805, which was published July 1, 1998, as a combined synopsis/solicitation for 10 isolation transformers with carrying cases and training. This acquisition is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under solicitation DCA100-98-R-0044. This amendment provides a cut-off date for clarifications and provides additional information for line item 0003 of the performance requirements and item number (12) listed in the salient characteristics. Line item 0003, 2 operator training sessions and briefing classes for 13 individuals. The requirement for the 2 operator training classes are to be held within thirty days of award. It is preferred that the classes be held on the same day. However, if the length of the sessions requires 2 separate days that would also be acceptable. Item number (12) Primary voltage taps must be as stated in the specifications. This is required due to the large variety of voltages encountered by the customer in the performance of their worldwide mission. Additionally, copper transformer windings are required. The customer would be willing to waive the weight requirement in order to get copper windings, as the weight is not as critical as the need for the copper windings. Requests for clarifications will be accepted by DITCO-NCR until 2:00 p.m. (local time) 31 July 1998.
