This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation NIDA-98-JCA-004 herein is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document, preovisions and clauses herein are those in effect through FAC 90-46. The proposed solicitation contained herein is restricted to Small Business Concerns. Delivery of the procured equipment shall be FOB DESTINATION, National Institute on Drug Abuse, 5500 Nathan Shock Drive, Baltimore, Md. The Government anticipates to award a firm fixed-Price contract. The CDM Secton currently has five gas chromatogray (GC)/mass spectrometer (MS) systems in operation. These Systems are essential to our present analytical research studies involving the identification and quantitation of drugs and their metabolic product in various clinical specimens. Recently, Perkin Elmer introduced new liquid chromatograph and MSinstruments that have several improvements that affect analytical sensitivity of labile drugs. The purchase of this LC system will complement and upgrade the existing analytical capability of the CDM Section.
