99 -- RFI SELLING SPACE FOR ANTENNAS SOL 671-97-98 DUE 081598 POC Hal Morriss 210-617-5146 In accordance with Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e) the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), Kerrville Division is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) regarding the selling of space by the STVHCS. The space is located on existing water tanks and will be sold for placement of antennas by companies engaged in doing business in the priviate sector. The space is located on a water tank at the Kerrville Division and is approximately 38 ft. in diameter at the handrails; therefore, it is anticipated there will be approximately 119 linear feet of handrail space to mount antennas to. Persons responding to this RFI are to provide price, use requirements, and any other market information considered pertinent. There will be no contract awarded as a result of this FRI due to the fact that responses to this request are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. After receipt of information, the STVHCS intends to issue a solicitation using the sharing authority at 38 U.S.C. 8153. This will provide for the STVHCS to sell use of this space to companies in the private sector. Under no circumstances will this be considered a lease.
