C -- HVAC & DESIGN FOR CATHETERIZATION LABORATORY SOL RFP-01-99 DUE 081998 POC Glenda Walton, (303) 393-2849 Patti Amidon, Contracting Officer (303) 393-2852 The Denver Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is requesting SF 254/255's from interested and qualified emerging small Architectural/Engineering firms to provide drwaings, specifications and costs for addition of a HVAC system for its new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The criteria to qualify for an emerging small business is $1.25 million annually. A/E requirements include preparing construction documents for the following modifications to the building's HVAC system and all associated utilities. Phillips equipment layout will provide a design layout for loactions' utilities. Equipment has been purchased for installation by vendor. A/E contractor is to provide construction documents and construction period services for the complete renovation of the existing space vacated by the old Catheterization Lab. VA will provide architectural plans for the space on disk for reference. The existing unit will be repalced with a new DX split system providing for the new calculated tonnage and supply air for the existing zine duct system. All existing utilities will be reviewed for ample capacity and slicing to accomodate existing loads or demands. the proposed wirk will require use of VA guidelines, manufacturer's requirements and the VA's specifications which are applicable to this project. Experience in designing Catheterization Labs is a requirement. Contractor is required to be within a 150 mile radius of the Denver VAMC.
