The U.S. Coast Guard is requesting information for planning purposes only. This synopsis does not constitute a formal Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. The Coast Guard is seeking resources capable of flight performance validation/verification and certification of prototype avionics equipment installed on HH-65, HH-60, HU-25, and HC-130 aircraft. Installed systems will include communication, navigation, sensor equipment, and electronic flight control equipment (autopilots, fuel controls, etc.). Scope of testing would include any and all testing necessary to comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives, OEM testing requirements, tempest/EMI/EMC requirements, and/or any testing required by other sources to deem new installations as safe for navigation in the global airspace. Respondents should possess the ability to develop all test plans, participate in aerial flights, perform engineering analysis, develop and recommend installation modifications to correct deficiencies, and provide a written document certifying that the installation is safe for navigation in the global airspace. The Coast Guard welcomes responses from sources with limited capability able to team with other vendors/government agencies to provide a turnkey testing evolution.
