J -- SILVER PLATING AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS SOL F42650-98-R-A152 DUE 091698 POC For copy, see website below,,, For additional information contact Rochelle Ombach/Pkos/[801]777-1330 This solicitation is for establishing a five year IDIQ contract for silver plating of the following aircraft components: B1-B Nose Landing Gear Steering Collar, F-15 Brake Bolts, 20 mm Gun Tracks, B-52 Main Landing Gear Centering Cam, and B-52 Tip Gear Vertical Thrust Bushing. This is a Delivery Order type contract the guaranteed minimum on the contract is 400 Gun Tracks, 100 Brake Bolts, and 10 Centering Cams. (Yearly estimated quantities are higher). The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to strip the existing silver plate and any under coatings from the parts with the exception of the F-15 Brake Bolts. Bolts will be stripped prior to shipment to the contractor. Some of the parts may have cadmium residual on the surface of the parts. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
