M -- NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO NEGOTIATE A CONCESSION CONTRACT WITH FOR THE 125 SITE DINGMAN'S CAMPGROUND POC Michele Kuna (717) 588-2440 Public notice is hereby given that the National Park Service proposes to negotiate a concession contract with Backat, Inc., authorizing it to continue to operate the Dingman's Campground facilities and services for the public at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area for a period of ten (10) years beginning January 1, 1999. The foregoing concessioner has performed its obligations to the satisfaction of the Secretary under an existing permit wich has expired by limitation of time, and therefore pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of the Act of October 9, 1965, is entitled to be given preference in the renewal of the permit and the negotiation of a new permit sa defined in 36 CFR 51.5. The Secretary will consider and evaluate all proposals received as result of this notice. Any proposal, including that of the existing concessioner, must be postmarked or hand-delivered on or before November 10, 1998, to be considered and evaluated.
