THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION POST-AWARD SEAT MANAGEMENT ACQUISITION NETWORKING SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT The General Services Administration's (GSA) Office of Enterprise Development (OED), in conjunction with GSA's Federal Technology Service, is hosting a networking session for small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses to meet with the prime contract winners for the SEAT Management Acquisition (SEAT). SEAT is a multi-billion dollar acquisition that will allow the Government to acquire desktop computing as a totally integrated "information utility" to include: 1) general purpose desktop computers, servers, and associated peripherals; 2) high performance computational systems and peripherals; 3) local and wide-area network capabilities; 4) commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software; 5) help desk service; 6) maintenance; 7) design and installation services; and 8) training. Eight contracts were awarded under the SEAT acquisition to large, small disadvantaged, women-owned businesses : EER Systems, Inc., FDC Technologies, Inc.; IBM Corporation; Multimax, Inc.; PRC, Inc., Science ApplicationsInternational Corporation (SAIC); TechServ LLC (DYNCORP); and Wang Government Services, Inc. THIS NETWORKING SESSION IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE THE PRIME CONTRACTORS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH ADDITIONAL SMALL, MINORITY, AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED AS SUPPLIERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS. To ensure that the prime contractors and the small business representatives have effective communications for establishing a relationship, only the first 100 small businesses to register will be allowed to participate in this networking session.
