The purpose of this amendment is to revise the method of contracting from "sealed bid" to "simplified acquisition." As a result, the bid opening scheduled for August 13, 1998, is hereby canceled. In addition, the release date for the Request for Quotation (RFQ) is July 29, 1998. The NRC will fax the RFQ, limited to one per requestor, to the first fifty requestors intending to bid. Blueprints will not be faxed, but are available for pickup between 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays at 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. Requestors wishing to pick up a copy of blueprints should contact Linda Wise at 301/415-7427. Blueprints will also be available at the site visit (only one) that NRC will conduct on July 31, 1998, at 9:30 a.m., at 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD, for those vendors not wishing to pick up their copy or receive their copy via regular mail.
